Kochi Muziris Biennale Collateral - Clark House @ Mandaly Hall
Htein Lin, Sitt Nyein Aye & Zarganar presented their work at Clark House at Mandaly Hall - a collateral to Kochi Muziris Biennale.
The oldy Mandaly Hall itself is an antique view, everything in this Jewish house wreaking the 300 year old memories.
Upturning of the begging bowl by the Buddhist bikshus (Monks) in protest against the communist government policies.
Mandalay Hall, with its location adjacent to the Jewish Synagogoue in Kochi, attracts a lot of visitors.
The old Corona type-writer props out "outrage" each time a visitor try to type out the word "Justice".
Saffron Peter, the young man who helps around the Clarks House, a Mumbai based gallery at Mandaly House, Mattancherry.
Pretty much everything of Mandaly House in pictures I have here, but correct exposure in natural light is indeed a challenge in there, without a tripod.

KOCHI MUZIRIS BIENNALE - PEPPER HOUSE
"KEEP YOUR SHOES HERE!"
The art installation by Hossein Valamanesh at PEPPER HOUSE
Pillars of light and dark. The light/white pillars are illuminated by a narrow beam of light, which is the only light source in a rather big room in a colonial mansion - PEPPER HOUSE.Contemplations on the worship place, its complexities and perceptions in different cultures. Persian rug spread out in the overwhelming darkness of the room, under the dark and white pillars, represent prayer rugs.
The white and black pillars are made from voile.
My favourite at PEPPER HOUSE.
