KOCHI MUZIRIS BIENNALE - PEPPER HOUSE

 "KEEP YOUR SHOES HERE!"

 The art installation by Hossein Valamanesh at PEPPER HOUSE

 Pillars of light and dark. The light/white pillars are illuminated by a narrow beam of light, which is the only light source in a rather big room in a colonial mansion - PEPPER HOUSE.

 Contemplations on the worship place, its complexities and perceptions in different cultures. Persian rug spread out in the overwhelming darkness of the room, under the dark and white pillars, represent prayer rugs.

 

The white and black pillars are made from voile.
